Travellers Beach Resort hosted Culture Day 2017 on February 14th. Cultural Day invites students to perform traditional items for guests from across the world. As students showcase their talents, guests are encouraged to buy a brick on which they can paint their names or a positive message. Award wining performances were the focus of the afternoon as students amazed patrons in speech, song, dance and drama.
Everton Hannam, UNESCO ,Sharon Parris-Chambers, CVD club, and Joy Clark from Digicel, lauded the event and brought messages of . At NEET we aim to develop an appreciation for Jamaica's rich and diverse culture and expose our students to a different atmosphere that is in most cases unlike their realities at home. We continue our ''Buy a brick build a library"campaign throughout March, after which the bricks will be donated to the farming project at Cove Primary School.
