Little London Primary Library Opening

Friday, October 31st, 2008

A grant from the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ) has assisted N.E.E.T. in it’s goal to continue building libraries for schools across Jamaica. Little London Primary was the first of four schools expected to receive a container style library within a six month time period. These libraries are given to specially selected schools, come equipped with eight + computers, books, lighting, and air conditioning. The next school to receive a library is Friendship primary located in Westmoreland Negril. Special Thanks to our donors and the EFJ for making this dream a reality.

NEET Summit

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

The date is set. On the 31st of October the international N.E.E.T Summit will commence. A 2 day summit in which both international and local members, as well as supporters of the organization will come together to take part in discussions on what has been accomplished and what is to come. The summit will take place at Travellers Beach Resort in Negril Jamaica. 2008 was a great year for N.E.E.T. Through the commitment of it’s supporters to the dedication of it’s members, N.E.E.T was able to accomplish tasks and objectives that may have seemed to some, insurmountable. The fight however is not over. As we gear up for 2009 active support from individuals and members alike will play a key role in determining how successful and effective we can be.

Recently receiving a grant from the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica (EFJ) the “buy a brick build a library” campaign that so many have supported has been given a great boost. The first of 4 libraries are set to open on the 31st of October at 11 am at Little London Primary School. These Libraries will be equipped with both computers and books provided by N.E.E.T. A reception in the Travellers Beach Resort lobby will follow at 7pm. Members and supporters from Canada, London, and the U.S.A. are expected to attend.
