Friendship Primary Library Opening
Friday, January 16th, 2009The second of four libraries slated to be completed within a six month time frame saw it’s grand opening today. Equipped as always with books and computers from donations made from N.E.E.T. contributors, this library opening had many prestigious attendees. Amongst the attendees were Mayor Keith Hinds of Portmore, Mayor Bertel Moore of Westmoreland, and the former minister of agriculture, Roger Clarke. Also present were members of the Ministry of Education; Senior Education Officer for Primary schools, Esmin Anderson; Territorial Education Officer, Jacqueline Brown; Counselor Paul Wilson; Counselor Edwin Allwood; Chairman of the school board, Trevor Hylton. The next school expected to receive a library will be Sir Clifford Campbell Primary School in February.
