We're excited to share the success story of our recent graduation ceremony, held at the Travellers Beach Resort in Negril, Jamaica on April 29, 2023. It was a heartwarming day of celebration as we marked the end of our 8-week Tablet Program for the first cohort of 2023. This program, a testament to our commitment to fostering education and creating opportunities for Jamaican youth, is made possible through the generous support of our partners, donors, and community leaders.
Tree Planting Day with Paradise + Vibe “When a tree is planted, new life begins, the birds celebrate and the sky smiles down on its new friend.” Planting a seed of hope. Today, these beautiful women of the Paradise and Vibe travel group showed their support for NEET, by planting coconut trees. Letters of a forever connection to the island will be at the roots of these trees. NEET welcomes visitors to our Resource Center to plant a tree in show of support for the NEET program. This is in keeping with our mission for environmental restoration. Persons can also join the NEET $100 Club. In doing so, a visitor plants a coconut tree and makes an annual donation to the program of USD100, and in return, their name is affixed to that tree and they become lifetime members of the NEET organization. NEET & Sandals Foundation join forces to giveaway care packages to those in need. It was another successful day at the Negril Education Environment Trust. On April 24, 2021, 30 families were given care packages and school supplies for students, as part of our monthly Care Package initiative. Observing Covid-19 protocols, packages were given to parents, students, and members of the public. The idea stemmed from the effects of the pandemic that has caused many individuals to lose their sources of income, and would not have been able to fully provide for their families. NEET is always looking for ways to give back to our community and we thank all our kind sponsors and donors who supported us to make this day possible. Thank you Sandals Negril for your generous donation to our NEET family. If there is anything the pandemic has taught us, it would be to show kindness to everyone, we need each other.
